Kool-Aid is kool

I am having so much fun with Kool-Aid! In the process I covered my fingers in purple but here is the result:

I am soooooooooooooo excited! Can you tell by the number of exclamation points I am using?! These colors are Black Cherry, Grape, Blue Raspberry and Lemon Lime. I can hardly wait for it to dry before I can think of using it.

The colors are a bit uneven but I figure, for my first dyeing project, it looks pretty good. I still have 1 skein of undyed sock yarn left which I am planning to dye yellow, red, orange and pink though I might change my mind and use the Black Cherry instead of the pink. Have I mentioned that this yarn is really nice to feel? I am so excited!

You did a marvelous job with the kool aid dying! I did some last spring but didn't make the colours overly bright (I wish I had). I haven't done it since, but that is because I don't have the yarn to dye...plenty of kool aid though, LOL! I plan on doing some again soon though. With my first attempt, the colours weren't all that even on 3 of the 4 balls I did, but that just adds character in my opinion. Can't wait to see what you make with it!

Thanks! The colors were really hard to get even. I actually dyed the yarn in two different batches. Once by using a turkey baster and once by tie-dying it. This whole thing makes me appreciate those hand-dyed yarns so much more!

Hehe. You ARE excited! The colors are quite awesome, though. I am excited to see pics of what you make. I think I may have to take up knitting... I am jealous of your ability to make fun things. Now I just need to go to that cool yarn store in Feldkirch and ask them to teach me :-P

Take care!
